Last night there was a performance art protest in front of the opening of MOCA’s “Art in the Streets” exhibit in Los Angeles. The performance was a Butoh dance criticizing the censorship of Blu’s anti-war mural that was buffed. Butoh is a conceptual dance form that started in Japan. The performers promoted dialog about the commercialization and exploitation of street art.
