The money donated to Occupy Oakland from Occupy Wallstreet can not be used for legal defense.

This year’s Hoodstock will be a fundraiser for legal defense for people arrested at Occupy Oakland.
It will be donation based with no one turned away for lack of funds.
At the last First Friday Artwalk in Oakland we screen printed live and gave out over 100 free two color posters promoting out Special Delivery street art and music festival to take place in South East Portland July 1st-4th, 2011.

This is going to be a crazy weekend!
We recommend coming through zine fest in San Francisco on Saturday and Sunday (Sept 4th + 5th) to grab our new issue 3 of Endless Canvas. Tonight (Friday the 3rd of Sept) we recommend coming through the Decade Without a Name art show in Oakland and grabbing a free drink. That goes until midnight. Other than that if you’re looking for chaos and music, come through all the Hoodstock events that are happening over the next four days..
Endless Canvas will be at Zine Fest for sure. Hoodstock, we will be floating around… maybe with a table.

Hoodstock Music Festival is coming home to Oakland…
Oakland is a lonely place as many of our friends traveled out to Brooklyn to represent the Town this weekend.
Hoodstock was invited to Oakland’s sister city Brooklyn, New York. It’s going to take place on Morrissey’s birthday, May 22nd. Do to the chaotic nature of Hoodstock, the specific location is being held secret until closer to the date.

$5-$10 donation (No one turned away for lack of funds.) A portion of the money goes to Holly Work’s defense fund who was arrested during the Oscar Grant Protest and framed up by the pigs.
Hoodstock Winter games got shut down early (Only about ten bands played), so here is the second half… the craziest dance party to ever hit anywhere.
They ask that you please keep the graffiti off Ghost Town Gallery the night of the event because it’s really hard to find a venue for Hoodstock.
B.Y.O.C. (Bring Your Own Cadillac)
Looks like we didn’t actually miss posting a day. Our website time wasn’t set to the correct Pacific time zone, but we just fixed it.
We went and took some after math photos of the block this morning. A bunch of people from the neighborhood were standing around trying to figure out what the hell happened last night. People got a little crazy standing on each others shoulders and blasting monster size tags directly in front of the business owner. Eventually someone got arrested. I’m not sure who it was or if they got their name. The police said that they shut down the party because of the graffiti and that otherwise they would have just driven by. Something to think about. Should the graffiti community keep it mellow around gallery openings to support the art scene? Does a mob have the ability to not feed off itself? Anyway, it was really fun and the majority of the bands got to play.
HOODSTOCK Oakland (Winter Games 2010) was a huge success. Too many bands were booked so it was broken into three stages; a warehouse; a house; and a converted city bus all on the same block. DJ’s played dope sets between bands and Political Gridlock, Not My Government, and Media Dissent hung an large poster art show. Outside was a camp fire and an army of writers crushing the block. Across the street were massive monster tags. The majority of the performers finished before an under cover cop tackled a writer and a line of cop cars and a van swooped in.
I’ll report back on the after parties, but they are still going on so I don’t want to blow them up. I don’t think there is any venue that can hold Hoodstock Oakland.
I’ll also try and post some aftermath photos tomorrow. Damn that was fun.
